I have three kids ages 2, 4 and 6 and they very much want to go down to the dead sea. Where is the best place to go and how is the best place to do this? We are only going to be in Israel for 1 week. Any information you can give me would be very helpful. Thank you.

Hello and Good Day!

Thank for the excellent website!

I heard that the Dead Sea is dead because it has no outlet. Is that true?

The context was spiritual regarding tithes. If you don\'t let God (His money, spiritual/physical gifts and talents, etc.) flow through you, then you atrophy.

Conversely, if you do let Him flow, then He will regularly renew you.

Please give me your opinion(s) as well as the answer to my original question.

Thanks!

Hello Jonathan,

The weather on the Dead Sea is usually hotter than the other areas in Israel.

I don\'t have the information about the water temperature, but the following link will show you the weather on the exact days that you are coming:
http://www.israelweather.co.il/english/week.asp?tbSelCity=18

Please look at the Ein Gedi area (27-19 C°).

In case of chilly water you can always visit local pools and spa that use the same Dead Sea water but keeping it warm.

One more thing, after you will see that the Dead Sea water and mud have a good influence on your body skin you might want to keep using those materials. In that case I want to recommend you to look for them on http://www.deadseacosmetics.com. In that way you will still be able to give your body the ingredients that it need.

Wish you an enjoyable vacation,

Roi.

Hello Elisa,
Your apprehensions are right.
Because of the deflection of the Jordan water for human uses and establishment of vaporization pools, the decrease of the sea level keep going, thing that cause to physical and ecologic changes that injure environment, living and Plantae.
There are some ways to save the Dead Sea in its current standard (e.g. desalination) but those ways require big investment of money.
