Psoriasis
The Psoriasis considers the Crenotherapy, an elective therapeutic mean.
As a matter of fact the istologic feed-back received from patients suffering from Psoriasis and exposed to balneotherapy has pointed out a diminishing process of the hypercheratosis, acanthosis e papillomatosis.
The hypothesis is that this is due to the thermal treatment which plays a role in the immunological and biochemical mechanisms implied in the pathogenesis of the Psoriasis.
More efficient seems to be the Crenophototherapy, a thermal bath with salts enriched with bicarbonate, calcium and magnesium with phototherapy.
A surveyed study has put into evidence that this method allows to obtain best results in 85% of the patients.
It is to be reminded as a natural mean of therapy for the Psoraisis the Balneotherapy associated to the exposure to the sun on the Dead Sea banks, for which a rich bibligraphy can be attained.*
