Skin Pathologies
The Rational of the use of the Dead Sea minerals salts in some skin pathologies:
Recently, many scientists made different clinical studies operated in similar conditions to those of a balneotherapeutic home-treatment (i.e. in regular bath tubs independently from the specific environmental factors), using Dead Sea products based on Dead Sea minerals salts, have obtained good results in some of the more frequent skin pathologies such as the Psoriasis and Atopic Dermatitis.
That’s the Crenotherapy, which means the curative treatment that consists in the therapeutic application of the mineral water.
The therapeutic efficiency of this original and absolutely “revolutionary” form of balneotherapy is to put into relation not only the quantities of the salts used but most of all its peculiar characteristics and properties.
As a matter of fact, the characteristic, which is absolutely unique, of those salts allows the constitution of the particular mechanism of osmosis interchange defined as “Inverse Osmosis”, dues to the differences not only of the temperature but above all of the mineral concentration between the interior and the exterior of our body.
Practically, while dissolving the salts into the water the minerals concentration in the solution created is higher to the one existing in our organism.
Through the skin, that works magnificiently as a semi-permeable membrane, is generated a double action:
1. A chemotaxis of the minerals towards the inner part of the skin for rebalancing the concentration of the two solutions: the internal and the external ones.
2. A passive diffusion from the internal part to the external of the liquids loaded with toxines (this is an opposite process to the one occuring for the traditional Osmosis) obtaining in this way an action of the skin Remineralisation cutanea combined with a draining and purifying effect.
This action of rebalancing stimulates the skin microcirculation and the cellular metabolism enabling to obtain good results in some dermatological affections like Acne and Eczama. At the same time, thanks to the riduction of the electrical activity in the muscles (NaCl) is obtained a relaxing effect and a reduction of the muscles and articulations (analgesic capacities).
The other minerals such as: Magnesium, Bromide and Sulphur inhibit the proliferation of the fibroblasts with immediate beneficial results for the Psoriasis.
